He was predeceased by : his parents, Spurgeon Welch Sr. and Zula Henry Welch; and his wife Billie June Mercer Welch. He is survived by : his children, John Welch (Cynthia) and Alisa Welch; and his grandchildren, Ashley Welch, Felicia Ellis (Mike) and Komer West (Kelly). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
