With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Venita C. Lawrence of Columbia, Louisiana, born in Monroe, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 23, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Venita may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Verlon E. Lawrence; her brothers, Ronald Coonce, Michael Coonce and Ricky Coonce; and her parents, Erno Coonce and Ollie Coonce.
She is survived by: her children, William Brad Lawrence of Columbia, LA, Paulina Collins of Calhoun, LA and Paulette Phillips of Columbia, LA; and her sisters, Alicia Duke (Johnny) of El Paso, AR and Linda Greer of Russellville, AR. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Brown-Holley Funeral Home (603 Francis St, Rayville, LA 71269). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (2413 US-425, Rayville, LA 71269).
