She is survived by: her children, John W. Grooms (Teresa) of Sibley, LA, Deborah Marie Grooms Bethea of Haughton, LA, Vickie Jean Grooms Cox (Glyn) of Cotton Valley, LA and Steve Grooms of Cotton Valley, LA; her grandchildren, Shawn Grooms, Dodie Grooms Carter, Julie Brown, Mike Grooms, Jana Tharpe, Jeremy Bethea, Angela Lemmons, Jennifer Cooper, Heather Nelkin and Megan Johnson; and her sister Gladys Brown. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren.
