It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Rhoderick Young (Coushatta, Louisiana), born in Delhi, Louisiana, who passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Young and Montez Lazell Young; his great grandchild Walker Rayce Young of Coushatta; and his half-brother Troy Ballard of Doyline, Louisiana.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Gwen Snead Young; his children, James "Bo" Young, Jr. (Linda), Shane Young (Tammy), Clint "Blue" Young (Hollie) and Kasey Smith (Joey); his stepson Brodie Vines; his grandchildren, Britt Young, Hunter Young, Makayla Griffith, Montanna Layfield, Cardin Young and Hadlee Young; his great grandchildren, Kaden Young, Holt Young, Rhett Young, Parker Griffith, Avie Young, Peyton Griffith and Juniper Young; and his brother Mike Young (Melinda). He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
