She was predeceased by: her husband Mervin "Jack" Barbo; her grandson Nathaniel Sharpley; and her parents, Charles Hicks and Kathleen Hicks. She is survived by: her children, Dale Jones (Heather), Chad Sharpley (Brandie), Amy Sharpley and Kami Sharpley (Lyan); her siblings, Charles Edward Hicks, Jr., Barbara Hicks Graves and Pamela Hicks Barker (Sam); her grandchildren, D. J., Mason, Desmond, Emily, Caleb, Jaci, Jessica, Jax and Bailey; and her close friend Ray "Buck" New. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in Linda's honor to Shreveport Baptist Temple, 288 Flournoy Lucas Road, Shreveport, LA 71106.
