He is survived by : his friend Enyart Mitchell; his significant other Susie Swayze; his son Scotty Swayze (Sherry Swayze) of Coushatta, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Brent Swayze, Tristan Swayze, Jamie Swayze, Cameron Swayze and Clark Swayze; his great grandchildren, Brinley Swayze, Parker Brooks and Bentley Swayze; and his nephew Dennis Dancer (Ashley Dancer) of Iowa, Louisiana. He is also survived by six siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
