He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent A. Messina and Myrtle Heimel Messina; and his brothers, Vincent A. Messina, Jr. and Francis W. Messina. He is survived by: his wife Joycelyn Modenbach Messina; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley C. Messina, John Modenbach, Jr. (Dolores) and Wayne Modenbach. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
