He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Otis Porter and Marie Stief; and his sisters, Letha Bernice Porter Flander, Retha Beatrice Porter Organ, Ora Porter Smith, Mary Ann Porter and Bessie Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Tillie Wahden Porter; his children, Peggy Castle (Fred), Bernard L. Porter, Jr. (Dianne) and Michael Porter; his sister Sue McDaniel; his grandchildren, Nicholas Walker, Josh Graffagnini (Haley Graffagnini), Lee Porter and Christine Porter; and his great grandchildren, Grayson and Leighton.
