He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Karcher Sr. and Ethel Broussard Karcher; his mother-in-law Dora Turnbull; and his siblings, Diane Karcher Tramontana, Gary Karcher and Alan Karcher.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Tracy Karcher; his children, Dana Karcher-Martinez (Omar), Danelle Karcher-Morales (Lonny), Daniel Clifford Karcher III (Danny) and David "Duck" Karcher (Nettie); his grandchildren, Owen Alvarado (Daniela), Michael Gilly (Madeline), Kaden Karcher, Kye Karcher, Saige Vedrenne, Madison Morales, Hunter Morales, Luke Martinez and Sophia Martinez; his siblings, Ronald Karcher (Linda), Rodney Karcher (Jonell) and Sylvia C. C Lewis (Bubby); and his sister-in-law Mary Miller (Johnny). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
