She was predeceased by: her husband Richard John Prestenback; her son Ray A. Doty; her siblings, Jean Jones Steno (Carroll Steno), Elvina Jones Tiffany (Larry Tiffany) and Arthur H. "Butch" Jones Jr.; her son-in-law Joseph A. Cross III; and her grandson Charles M. Canizaro.
She is survived by: her sister Joan Jones Donnow (Jack L. Donnow); her sister-in-law Shirley Jones; and her children, Elvina Doty Cross, Roy A. Doty (Eileen Reis Doty), Karen Doty Canizaro (Charles F. Canizaro), Dionne Doty Mefford (Robert A. Mefford) and Lori Prestenback Davis (David Lierzin). She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at the Lafayette Cemetery (2110 Washington Ave, New Orleans, LA 70113).
