Douglas Neal Kirby Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Neal Kirby of Covington, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on September 20, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Al Kirby Sr. and Olive Cason Kirby; and his sister Carolyn Kirby Weldon (Bob). He is survived by: his wife Karla Gilmore Kirby; his children, Neal Kirby (Scott Baldes) of New Orleans and Allison Kirby Gaines (Daniel) of Metairie, Louisiana; his granddaughters, Madison Gaines and Caroline Gaines; and his brothers, Clifton Kirby Jr. (Sharon) of Huntsville and Larry Kirby (Marci) of Gonzales, Louisiana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery (4900 Airline Dr, Metairie, LA 70001). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
