He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Shella; his children, Abel, Jolie and Trevor; his children-in-law, Sarah, Tim and Julie; his grandchildren, Ellie, Paige, John Edgar, Schafer, Joshua, Stephen, Rhett, Charlie, Amelie and Anna; his sisters, Suzanne, Connie and Sharon; his siblings' children, Michelle, Todd, Nic and Stephanie; and his parents, Edgar V. Schafer Jr. and Barbara Brown.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Covington (16054 Murphy Rd, Covington, LA 70433). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith Presbyterian Church.
