We are sad to announce that on February 12, 2025, at the age of 73, Floyd R. Burckel Jr. of Covington, Louisiana passed away. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd R. Burckel, Sr. and Vera Ducatel Burckel of New Orleans. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Quave Burckel; his children, Merica, Christian, Jonathan (Britteny) and Katie; his grandchildren, Veda, Eva Saladino and Nolarain; his siblings, Janet Craddock (Glenn), David Burckel (Judy), Peggy Nicosia (Steve) and Julie Burckel; and his brother-in-law Lloyd Mehaffey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Some of which was our musing about which of us would outlive the other. And I wondered if Merica would have any memory of me at all as she rounds the bases to fifty. Wow!!!! Well anyhow, the three of us have some great memories of days gone by. Take care! Poche”
