He was predeceased by: his wife Charlene; his son Brian; his brother-in-law David Bell; and his parents, Gilbert Springer and Florene Springer.

He is survived by: his children, Sarah Al-Juraid (Saad) and Bradley Springer (Cap); his daughter-in-law Deborah May; his grandchildren, Sultan, Reem of Mishal, JC, Joshua, Dominic, Emma and Ellie; his great grandchild Benson; his sister-in-law Debbie Bell; and his nieces and nephews, Erin and Nic.
