We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Herbert Eugene Joiner Jr. of Covington, Louisiana. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Faye Joiner and Herbert Joiner; his parents-in-law, Dottie Keating and R. T. Keating; and his brother Jimmy "JJ" Joiner.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Diane Keating Joiner; his sons, Joshua Eugene Joiner (Aukse), Justin Eugene Joiner (Allison) and Jeffry Eugene Joiner (Brittany); his grandchildren, Mathias, Benji, Cooper, Selah, Capri, Luca, Cross and Reese; his siblings, Howie Joiner (Shannon) and Shari Lewis (Johnny); and his siblings-in-law, Rodney Keating (Karen), Randall Keating (Leslie) and Linda Fussell (Glenn). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the New Zion Baptist Church (17387 New Zion Church Rd, Covington, LA 70435). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the meal ministries of New Zion Baptist Church, St. Benedict Catholic Church, or Fitzgerald United Methodist Church, whose weekly lunch ministry was a meaningful blessing to Herbie and Charlotte over the last few years.
