With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hilda Wittie Stanga of Covington, Louisiana, born in Robert, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2025 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Jacob Wittie and Hilda Robertson Hinckley; and her sisters, Patsy, Rose Ann and Silvia.
She is survived by: her husband Henry "Vernon" Stanga, Jr.; and her brother Curtis Wittie (Barbara). She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the E. J. Fielding Funeral Home & Cremation Services (2260 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA 70433). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at the Stanga Cemetery Stanga Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Stanga may be made to a charity of your choice.
