With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James August George of Covington, Louisiana, who passed away on March 17, 2026 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward George, Jr. and Helen Ohler George. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Dauterive George; his daughters, Heather George Arnold (Jerome) and Jessica George Egan (Jason); his grandchildren, Hannah, Tyler, Jake, Claire Egan, Nathaniel and Faith Arnold; his sisters, Barbara Newby (Arthur), Betty George, Peggy George and Debra George; and his sisters-in-law, Cindy Cash and Merle Felger (Gregg). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His life was cut short by a long battle lost to Alzheimer's disease.
