He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Casen Fitzmorris and Larcie Lucille Bush Fitzmorris; his siblings, Lollie Lucille Harriss, Olive Lillian McGillivary, Adrian Enos Fitzmorris, Lawrence Ceedie Fitzmorris, James Willard Fitzmorris and Glen Ray Fitzmorris; his son Timothy Tay Fitzmorris; his grandson John Tyler Meier; and his daughter-in-law Wendy Wilhelm Fitzmorris.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Louise Dawson of Whittier; and his children, Alan Jay Fitzmorris of Grand Bay, Alabama, Cheri Luck Sinclair (Jeff Sinclair) of Mendenhall, Mississippi, Christy Lou Cynthia Fitzmorris of Covington, Louisiana, Ashley Elizabeth Meier (J. P. Meier) of Covington, Louisiana and Emeline Rose Thomsen of Cincinnati, Ohio..
