John Henry Jones Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Henry Jones of Covington, Louisiana, who passed away on June 3, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrie Jones and J. D. Jones Sr.; and his siblings, Mary Francis Smith, Rosemary Cole, Ruth Mays, Calvin Jones and Early James Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Beatrice Jones of Houston, TX, Candace Tubbs of Cincinnati, OH, Crystal Tubbs of Cincinnati, OH and Kisha Jones of Hercules, CA; his grandchildren, Charles, Rotunda, Shaunda Jones, Christopher, Christine Tubbs, Kionna Barr and Kaden Carr; and his siblings, J. D. Jones, Lillian Walker and Sarah Lowe. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Morning Star Baptist Church (620 Lamarque St, Mandeville, LA 70448). A celebration of life was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the Wilson II Cemetery (1400 N Columbia St, Covington, LA 70433).
