We bid farewell to Lawrence Joseph Bertoniere Sr. (Covington, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 11, 2025 at the age of 83. Lawrence touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Herbert Bertoniere and Ruth Serpas Bertoniere; his son Lawrence Joseph "Frog" Bertoniere, Jr.; and his siblings, Roy Bertoniere, Herbert Bertoniere, Ruth Bertoniere Quinlan and Dolores Bertoniere Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Howard Bertoniere; his children, Sean Bertoniere, Stephanie Bertoniere, Desiree Bertoniere Billiot, William "Billy" Bertoniere and Laurie Bertoniere Doherty; and the mother of his children Linda Irwin Bertoniere. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, 3 nieces, 6 nephews, countless cousins, friends, and his beloved cats.
