He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley E. Hidalgo; and his son Collin M. Hidalgo. He is survived by: his wife Shirley "Mary" Hidalgo; his father John A. Hidalgo, Sr.; his children, Sarah E. Hidalgo, Meggan H. Garrick (Jessie) and Tyler C. Hidalgo; and his siblings, Sandra H. Avant, John A. Hidalgo, Jr. and Clark Stewart. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
