She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Joe Ellis; her son Joe Larry Ellis; her parents, Vonnie Brown and Myrtle Brown; and her siblings, Don Brown and Melba Brown Spivey.
She is survived by: her son Barry C. Ellis, Sr. (Nancy); her brother Gairee Brown; her grandchildren, Barry C. Ellis, Jr. (Madeline), Jeremy B. Ellis (Angelina) and Ashley L. Kott (James R.); her great grandchildren, Caroline Ellis, Elaina Ellis, Thomas Ellis, Elizabeth Ellis, Jacob Ellis and Olivia Kott; and her pet Maggie II.
