She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. James Strickland; her parents, Thomas Garcia and Clara Garcia; and her sisters, Carolyn Wolfram and Beverly Scales.
She is survived by: her children, James Strickland III (Misty), Susan Strickland and Carole Nungesser (Eric); her daughter-in-law Mary Ann Strickland; her brother Thomas Garcia (Sherry); her grandchildren, Dr. Jessica McMichael (Ty), Jimmy Strickland, Dr. Matthew Nungesser (Anna), Brett Nungesser and Grace Nungesser; and her great grandchildren, Abby, Kate, Vivian, Tyler, Rhys and Scout.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mothe Funeral Homes (2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA 70058). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Westlawn Memorial Park (1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, LA 70056).
