He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Fontcuberta and Mildred Fontcuberta; his siblings, Michael Fontcuberta and Jodie Fontcuberta Cooper; his brother-in-law Forrest Smith; his father-in-law Odie King; and his pet Izzy.

He is survived by : his wife Virginia King Fontcuberta; his children, Alissa Pierce (John) and Hope Westmoreland (Cody); his grandchildren, Laurel Westmoreland, Olivia Pierce, Conner Westmoreland and Miles Westmoreland; his siblings, Diane Fontcuberta Smith, Mollie Fontcuberta Revell (Jerry), Tom Fontcuberta (Martha) and Anne Fontcuberta; his mother-in-law Doris King; his siblings-in-law, Roy Cooper, Marie King Humphries (Carl), Kenny King and Kathy King; and his pets, Cricket, Remi and Zoey.

In lieu of flowers, Bert wished that you celebrate his life by spending time with your family and friends creating lasting memories, which were his most precious "possessions.".
