She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Elizabeth Thevis Hensgens of Mowata; her husband Norwood Marcy Lyons, Sr.; her parent Christian Joseph Hensgens; and her siblings, Leonard (Sarah Ann Hensgens), Raymond (Kitty Hensgens), Lawrence (Lula Hensgens), Germaine (F. J. Schneider) and Wilma (Henry Leonards).
She is survived by: her children, Virginia Lyons Rippetoe of Charlotte, Christian Lyons of Crowley, Nicholas Lyons of Lafayette and Marcy Lyons Jr.; her daughter-in-law Felicia Lyons of Iota, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Wise (Trevor), Claire Rippetoe, Andre Lyons Bruce (Cody), Samantha Lyons Stephens (Tyler), Olivia Lyons and John Christian Lyons; and her nephews, Wayne Hensgens, Mark Hensgens, Larry Hensgens, Danny Hensgens, Donnie Hensgens, Jordan Harding and Jeffery Leonards. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren she called her own and many relatives.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael Elementary School, Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, St. Michael Catholic Church in Crowley, La. and St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata, La.
