He was predeceased by: his parents, Emile Hanks and Ineze Thibodeaux; and his former wife Betty Foreman Hanks. He is survived by: his daughter Becky Hanks Broussard (Ovalton) of Lafayette, LA; his stepdaughter Kim Leblanc (Aubrey) of Jennings; his brother Clifton Hanks of Dublin, TX; his grandchildren, Matthew Devitt (Emily), Mark Devitt, Kelli Richard (Ronnie), Shawn Holloway, Tony Holloway (Rachael), Holly Goodwin and Micah Breaux (Camille); his wife Jeanette Hanks; his son Barry Neal Hanks; his grandson Scotty Holloway; and his stepchildren, Cheryl Talley and Randy Holloway. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
