He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris C. Ames and Virginia Lee Allerhieligen; his daughter Tiffany Porter Phelps; and his grandmother Elizabeth Ann Lee. He is survived by: his wife Carlie Miller Ames of Crowley; his children, Kenneth Porter of Fayetteville, AR, Paul Herzing (Alicia) of Westminster, CO, David Herzing of Crowley, Christian Ames (Sherry) of Severn, MD and Justin Ames (Sarah) of Lafayette; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Evan, Abigail, Ethan, Jackson, Brixtyn, Jason and Gabriel.
He will be remembered lovingly not only for his contributions to the community and the art world but also for his close walk with the Lord.
