He was predeceased by : his parents, Azile Gaspard and Eve Richard Gaspard; his wife Marjorie Saltzman Gaspard; and his sisters, Mary Lou Simon, Lydia G. Monceaux and Virgie G. Plaisance.

He is survived by : his girlfriend Elaine Breaux of Kaplan; his children, Crystal Gale, Regina Gaspard, Brian, Robert, Gregory and Blake Gaspard; and his siblings, Laura Mae Breaux, Rev. Albert Lee Gaspard and John Gaspard. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
