He is survived by: his wife Marie Louise Comeaux Abshire of Lafayette; his children, Janice Romero of Lafayette, Lisa Abshire (Lonnie) of Youngsville and Kevin Abshire (Michelle) of Maurice; his sisters, Anna Belle David of Lafayette and Pearly Guidry of Lyons Point; and his son-in-law Bryan Jameyson of New Iberia. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.
