Though Melinda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Melinda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Albert "Al" Trahan; her parents, Willie Monceaux and Winnie G. Monceaux; and her sister Ruby Kimball. She is survived by: her children, Neil (Megan Trahan) of Lyons Point, Krystal (Scott Hebert) of Jennings and Suzette Breaux of Lyons Point; and her brothers, Wilson Monceaux of Crowley, Willard Dale Monceaux (Jose Ramirez) of Puerto Rico and David "Turkey" Monceaux of Lyons Point. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Duhon Funeral Home - Crowley (1529 Crowley Rayne Hwy, Crowley, LA 70526). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
