Valair; his godmother Jeanette Thibodeaux; and his aunts and uncles, Jeralyn Valair, Janell Valair, June Valair, Lewanna Thibodaux, Warren Thibodeaux, Tony Hunt, William Lavergne, Murphy Valair, Martin Valair, John Valair and Van Valair.

He is survived by: his sister Lucretia V. Pitre (Joseph, Sr.) of Opelousas, LA; his niece Rodneaka Thibo of Crowley, LA; his nephews, Larenzo Valair of Abbeville, LA and Jaelen Bias of Crowley, LA; his godchildren, Joseph Pitre, Jr. and JoMya Pitre of Opelousas, LA; his aunts and uncles, Sylvia Lavergne of Lake Charles, LA, Clara Thibodeaux of Houston, TX, Belva Hunt of Houston, TX, Veronica Bolden of Houston, TX, Mary Guillory of Iota, LA, Jacqueline Valair of Tucson, AZ, Raymond Thibodeaux of Opelousas, LA and Velton Valair of Iota, LA; and his godfather Alex Thibodeaux, Jr. (Sylvia) of Slidell, LA. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
