She was predeceased by: her parents, John Alfred "Fred" and Maxie Perkins Melancon. She is survived by: her sons, Douglas (Allison) of Baton Rouge and Michael (Christine) of Houston; her husband Wayne Melancon; her grandchildren, Tyler (Lauren), Caleb, Mary Claire, Everett and Miles Melancon; her great grandchildren, Owen and Cason Melancon; her siblings, Susan Kneller, Ginger Miller, Melanie Huff, John and Mark Melancon; her son David Melancon (Selena) of Austin; and her grandson Andrew Melancon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Memorials can be made to St. Michael Elementary School, Notre Dame High School, Crowley Public Library or the charity of your choice.
