He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Watson Bertrand; his son Willard Bertrand, Jr.; his stepson Richard Davis, Sr.; his parents, Jerome Bertrand and Elvie G. Bertrand; and his siblings, Harold, Walter Bertrand, Virgie Veazey, Margie Clement and Vera Poole.
He is survived by: his children, Joanie (Brian Kibodeaux) of Crowley, Kathy Collins of Texas, Mark of Crowley, Danny of Crowley and Virgil Bertrand of Crowley; his stepchildren, Theresa Davis of Crowley and David Davis of Crowley; and his siblings, Waylan Bertrand of Pecan Island, J. C. Bertrand of Lake Arthur, Vanessa Cormier of Crowley and Brenda Sue Nunez of Crowley. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
