We bid farewell to Randy E. Newsom of Crowville, Louisiana, born in Winnsboro, Louisiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 9, 2026 at the age of 74. Randy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Randy leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his son Jeffrey Lavelle Newsom; and his siblings, Kenneth Newsom, Lynn Newsom and Martha Newsom Rogan. He is survived by: his wife Tommie Nell Biggs Newsom of Crowville, LA; his sons, Gene Newsom (Ann) of Crowville, LA, Hugh Newsom of Crowville, LA and Warren Newsom (Vicki) of Swampers, LA; and his siblings, Dorothy Curry of Swartz, LA, Edna Dunn of Oak Grove, LA and Danny Newsom of Newnan, GA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dennard First National Funeral Home (6637 Main St, Winnsboro, LA 71295). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dennard Chapel (6637 Main St, Winnsboro, LA 71295).
