He was predeceased by: his parents, Pierre J. Bourgeois Jr. and Hilda Gautreaux Bourgeois; his brother Robert "Bobby" Bourgeois; his nephew Robert "Skunky" Bourgeois, Jr.; and his parents-in-law, Lawson and Wilma Pitre.
He is survived by: his wife Laura P. Bourgeois; his children, Barry John Bourgeois (Tracy) and Laurie Lynn Doucet (Karl); his grandchildren, Allie Segura (Justin), John Bourgeois (Angélle), Dr. Alex Bourgeois (Kyllie Mae) and Austin Doucet (Camille); his great grandchildren, Brooks, Ryan Doucet and Ryker Segura; his siblings, Patsy Angelle and James Bourgeois; his brother-in-law Ned A. Pitre; and his family, Lady, Sonya Dantin, Stacy and Antoinette. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Johnny's family asks for donation to the Thibodaux Cancer Center in his name.
