It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Sanamo Griffin of Cut Off, Louisiana, born in Golden Meadow, Louisiana, who passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Eumes Joseph "E. J." Griffin, Jr.; her daughter Debra G. Autin (Ryan); her parents, Alsandor "Ben" Sanamo and Clementine Callais Sanamo; and her daughters-in-law, Stephanie Kieff and Debbie Hebert.
She is survived by: her children, Sylvia G. Galliano (Mike) and Eumes J. Griffin III; and her sister Helen S. Hebert. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Sacred Heart Catholic Church (15300 W Main St, Cut Off, LA 70345). A Mass was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at the Calendar Sacred Heart Cemetery (15300 W Main St, Cut Off, LA 70345).
