Lonis M. Compeaux Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lonis M. Compeaux (Cut Off, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 11, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lonis M. Compeaux to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Compeaux Jr.; her son Richard "RJ" Compeaux III; her parents, Ernest Cheramie and Lydia Cheramie; and her siblings, Gilbert Cheramie, Aglonis Bourgeois, Vincent, Louis and Gerald Cheramie.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Compeaux (Wayne Foret), Myra Plaisance (Dale) and Renell Compeaux (Jan Birkhoff); her daughter-in-law Patricia T. Compeaux; her grandchildren, Richard "Richie" Compeaux IV, Meagan Callais (Stephen), Brock Compeaux (Tammy), Trinity Plaisance (Nina) and Miranda Plaisance; and her great grandchildren, Cecilia, Oscar Callais, Isabelle, Zoe and Rose Plaisance. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (15300 W Main St, Cut Off, LA 70345). A Mass was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (15300 W Main St, Cut Off, LA 70345).
In lieu of flowers, Mass intentions are preferred.
