He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lee Hale and Mary Olivia Swafford; his wife Joan Jeanette Mathews Hale; and his daughter Tracy Jeanine Hale. He is survived by: his sons, John Hale (Suzanne Wilsey) and Jody Hale (Melissa); his grandchildren, Phillip Winfield Jones, Beau Riley Jones (Dru), Brandi Jones Griggs (Randell), Katelyn Greer (Cody), John Hale III (Jessie), Cody Hale (Lexi Stansbury), Casey Hale, Michael Hunter, Makayla Herrington (Curt) and Morgan Hunter; and his great grandchildren, Brayden Griggs, Lincoln Griggs, Zoe Griggs, Renleigh Greer, Atleigh Greer, Braysen Greer, Adler Greer, Bentley Jones, Sawyer Jones, Eli Jones, Easton Jones, Beau Jones and Alex Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Home (724 Broadway St, Delhi, LA 71232). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
