He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Albert Garley Jr. and Laura Jean Frazier Garley; and his siblings, Richard Garley III, James Marshall Garley and Katherine Hanlon.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen S. Garley; his children, Marsha McVay (Bo) of Delhi, LA, Michael Garley (Libby) of Delhi, LA and Nancy Wallace (Chris) of Delhi, LA; his grandchildren, Joshua Sykes, Hunter Ferrington, Hali Garley, Alyssa Garley, Ariel Garley, Amanda Wallace, Laura Wallace and Mike Wallace; his great grandchildren, Raegan Skyes, Tate Garley, Abbey, J. T. Wallace, Paxton and Parker Wallace; and his sister Anita Duchesne (Bernard).
