He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Clem Willis and Valeria Pauline Gallagher; and his stepfather Bert Mills. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Rice Willis; his daughter Lois; his son-in-law Philip Bucher; his granddaughter Savannah Bucher; his great grandchildren, Nealon Bucher, Maddix Kennedy and Samie; his brother H. C.; his sister-in-law Vickie Willis; and his children, Michael Miceli, Deacon Rudy Stahl and Bridget Lieux. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in honor of Charles D. Willis to Our Lady of the Lake Blood Donor Center or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
