She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezell Irene Biggs and Cornice Clemet Tanner; her husband Alvin Porter; her daughter Mary Mitchell; her grandson Randy Davis; and her siblings, Charles and Dorothy.

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Fife, Debbie Faust (Duane) and Steve Thomas; and her son-in-law Paul Mitchell. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
