He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Louis Jeansonne and Sylvia Anne Hernandez Jeansonne. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Marie Jeansonne (Billy Tullier), James Robert Jeansonne (Paige) and Katie Jeansonne Maxwell (Jack); his grandchildren, Pilot, Ronin, Freya, Maudie James and Cannon; and his siblings, Wendy Anne Jeansonne (Dave Dargo) and Stephen Prince Jeansonne (Nancy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
