He is survived by: his wife Berta Elmaria Helmke; his children, Lawrence Joseph Helmke and Leia Helmke Brown (Joshua Nelson Brown); his daughter-in-law Kimberley Hooge Helmke; his grandchildren, Kacie Louise Meyers, Ashlee Meyers Alphonso (William Alphonso), Madalyn Grace Helmke, Landry Clark Helmke and David Stephan Meyers; his great grandchild Alara Elyse Bourgeois; and his pets, Precious and Snoopy.
