He is survived by: his sons, Doug Spring (Jolie) and Steven Spring; his grandchildren, Heidi Jo Spring and Wyatt Spring; and his sisters, Barbara Gatewood and Patricia Arnold. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
