He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Lee Howes and Mildred Louise Pittman Howes; his brother Michael Wayne Howes; and his sister-in-law Eleanor Howes. He is survived by: his wife Sue Howes; and his children, Stephen Howes (Janice), Laura Bankston (Roger), Sidney Wall (Wendy), Brian Howes (Tracie), Vivian "DeeDee" Sullivan (Chad) and Ashley Wall True (Christian). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
