He is survived by: his wife Carla Jean Holmes Murray; his children, Christa Fairburn (Alvin), Ginger Erp (Sean), Ash and Jonathan Bankston (Kelly); his grandchildren, Kelly Richards (Luke), Sean Michael Erp (Lauren), Tyren Fairburn, Cody Fairburn, Jessica Carlin (Kaleb), A. J. Calais, Ana-Grace Garcia, Easton Garcia, Grant Bankston, Carter Bankston and Everett Bankston; his great grandchildren, Conner Fairburn, Morgan Erp, McKenzie "Micky" Richards, Cassius Fairburn, Izabella Deshotel, Theo, Evie and Gideon Carlin; and his sisters, Esther Ricks, Pat McCoy, Margaret Boyd and Mary Hughes (Gerald). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
