He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Thompson; his parents, Isaac McCoy Thompson Sr. and June Rigmaiden Thompson; his children, Colton Thompson and Cevin Thompson; his grandchildren, Daryl Alexander Thompson, Luke Thompson and Tracy Thompson; his great grandchildren, Ellie Scott Thompson, Cassidy Coltyn Anderson and Evelyn Louise Foster; and his brothers, Issac "Cobby", McCoy Thompson Jr. and Rev. James "Jimmy" Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Craig Thompson, Monique "Neicy" Thompson (Art), Rev. Cody Thompson (Christie) and Rev. Chane Thompson (Selena); his grandchildren, Cortney Poole Anderson (Earl), Kelcey Poole Foster (Ethan), Dillon Thompson, Ceaton Thompson (Brooke), Chanler Thompson (Madeline), Gamma Thompson, Christian Thompson, Rian Thompson, Rylie Thompson and Cullem Alexander Thompson; his great grandchildren, Devyn, Elliott, Collin, Case, Emerysn, Gabriel, Jonah and Cohen; his sister Evelyn "Evie" Tanner; and his cousin Ed Smith. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First United Pentecostal Church - DeQuincy (230 Smith St, Dequincy, LA 70633). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Perkins Cemetery.
