She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Whatley and Laura Mae Kirby Whatley. She is survived by: her children, Karen Marcantel (Ronnie) and Darrell Alston (Pam); her grandchildren, Lauren Caldwell, Kasha Irwin, Tara Dykes, Kyle Alston and Rick Alston; and her brother Jimmie Royce Whatley.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Riley Smith & Sons - DeQuincy (1810 W Fourth St, DeQuincy, LA 70633). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Riley Smith & Sons (1810 W Fourth St, DeQuincy, LA 70633). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at the Rigmaiden Cemetery.
