She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lee Harris and Ludie Perkins Harris; and her siblings, Inez Pinder and Walter Ray Harris. She is survived by: her children, Brady Jay Sims of Kerrville, Tammy Colleen Midkiff of Longville and Penny Rene'Dunning of DeQuincy; and her sister Fannie Istre of DeQuincy. She is also survived by four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hixson-Snider Funeral Home (205 E Harrison St, Dequincy, LA 70633). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
