It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patsy Ann Mahaffey (Dequincy, Louisiana), who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Isaac Dorman Mahaffey; her son Brian Keith Mahaffey; her grandchildren, Sonya Lynn Oretgo and Bryan Keith Baggett; her parents, Horace Hyatt and Mable Hyatt; and her siblings, Lynn Hyatt, Vernon Hyatt, Rodney Hyatt, Laura Hyatt and Carolyn Jo Hyatt.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Mahaffey (Julia), Wayne Mahaffey, Sheila Mahaffey, Sharon Ortego and Shannon Baggett; and her siblings, William Hyatt (Luis) and Kay Alston (Rodney). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Smyrna Baptist Church (230 Smyrna Rd, DeRidder, LA 70634). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Smryna Cemetery.
